Futus is the name for the motif on the woven cloth of Malacca, East Nusa Tenggara, while "tais marobo" is the name of the traditional cloth of Malacca as a whole. The technique for making futus motifs is by tying threads before dyeing, and this motif is often combined with other motifs to beautify the fabric.
